Rebounce Privacy Policy
(Updated 25-4-2025)

We, at Rebounce, want you to be assured that we care for your privacy and to us it is important. This Privacy Policy describes how Rebounce (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile applications, website, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”). This includes any personalized matchmaking features delivered via phone, app, website, or other communication channels.

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of your personal data, whether it is submitted directly by you or generated as part of your usage of the platform. If you have any questions or concerns about how we handle your data, please contact us at support@getrebounce.in.

WHY WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION

At Rebounce, our mission is to help individuals find meaningful companionship—whether for enabling relationships, bonds or marriages. To provide this experience securely, respectfully, and efficiently, we collect certain information from users and members.

This information allows us to:

  • Help you create a personalized and discoverable profile

  • Offer matches based on your preferences and search filters

  • Facilitate messaging, profile viewing, and mutual discovery

  • Provide optional access to personalized matchmaking assistance

  • Prevent fraud, impersonation, and misuse through account verification tools

  • Process purchases for paid features or subscriptions via secure third-party payment processors

  • Maintain the integrity and safety of our platform through content review (manual and automated)

  • Deliver support responses and enforce platform policies

We do not allow the general public or other users to search or access your private information in a way that can directly identify you outside the platform.

While some sections of the platform may be browsed without full registration, core features—such as profile creation, viewing, and communication—require you to share certain personal information.

WHERE THIS PRIVACY POLICY APPLIES

As an entire platform, this Privacy Policy applies to every experience with our platforms, applications, and services operated by Rebounce, including:

  • Our mobile applications (Android and iOS)

  • Our website at getrebounce.in

  • Any other website, blog, or digital service we operate or may introduce in the future under the Rebounce brand

  • Human-assisted matchmaking services provided via phone, app, or other communication channels

We refer to all of these collectively as the “Services” throughout this Privacy Policy.

For transparency, we include a link to this Privacy Policy within each platform where it applies.

In some cases, individual services or features may be governed by a separate or additional privacy policy (for example, a third-party integration or a standalone verification tool). In such cases, the specific privacy policy applicable to that service will control how your data is used for that feature.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

As a catered platform which provides our Services and forming experiences among individuals, Rebounce collects information that you provide directly, data we receive from others, and information generated through your use of the platform. This includes basic profile details, behavioral and device data, and interactions that support profile discovery, moderation, and matchmaking.

Below is a detailed overview of the types of information we collect:

Information You Provide

This includes any data you choose to share when using our Services:

  • Account Creation: When you sign up, you provide login credentials such as your mobile number, email address, and, where applicable, a password or authentication token (e.g., OTP). You also provide personal details including your name, gender, and date of birth.

  • Profile Information: As a step to complete your profile, you may share additional details such as your education, occupation, city, interests, lifestyle preferences, and relationship goals, along with profile photos or videos. If you upload photos or media, you may grant us access to your device’s camera or gallery.

We may also collect metadata associated with the uploaded files (such as timestamps or device information embedded in photos or videos), which helps us ensure content authenticity and maintain platform safety.

You may later update, edit, or add more optional profile information at any time through your account settings or profile page.

  • Selfie Verification: If you choose to verify your profile for a verification badge (such as a blue tick), we collect the selfie submitted, associated metadata, and verification outcome.

  • Sensitive Information: You may optionally provide information considered sensitive under applicable laws (such as religion, caste, or sexual orientation). By submitting such data, you consent to its processing as part of our Services.

  • Verification and Trust Signals: To enhance platform safety, we may request additional information or use lawful third-party tools to validate user identity or prevent impersonation.

  • Payment and Transaction Info: When purchasing subscriptions or paid features, you or our payment partners may provide us with transaction-related data including masked card numbers, UPI references, or billing details. Rebounce does not store full credit/debit card information.

  • Surveys, Promotions, and Testimonials: If you participate in surveys, contests, or promotions, we may collect the information you submit, including your responses, preferences, and any testimonial content. Testimonials may be voluntarily submitted by you (such as through feedback forms or direct communication).

  • Customer Support Interactions: When you contact our support team, we collect the content of those conversations. For training or quality assurance purposes, these interactions may be monitored or recorded.

  • Referrals and Invitations: If you request us to contact someone on your behalf (e.g., to invite a friend), we collect their contact details only to complete that request.

  • User Chats and Published Content: We collect and process your chats with other users, as well as content you post (such as about), to facilitate profile interactions, provide moderation, and, where applicable, assist our matchmakers in curating suggestions.

Information We Receive from Others

In addition to the information you provide directly, we may receive information about you from other users, third parties, or partner services that interact with Rebounce. This includes:

  • Other Users: Other users may share information about you while using our Services. For example, they may contact us with feedback, submit a report, or mention you in a support query or content report.

  • Social Media Login: If you choose to sign up or log in using a social media account (such as Facebook), we may receive limited profile information as permitted by your privacy settings on that platform—such as your name, email address, gender, profile photo. This helps simplify login and enrich your profile setup.

  • Marketing and Ad Partners: We may receive information about your interaction with our ads or services on third-party websites and platforms. For example, a partner may share insights on ad campaign performance, click-throughs, or installation sources (e.g., when Rebounce ads appear on their sites or apps).

Information Collected When You Use Our Services

When you access or interact with Rebounce, we automatically collect certain technical and usage data to help us deliver, personalize, and protect our Services. This includes:

Usage Information

We collect information about your activity on the platform, including:

  • Features you use, content you view, and searches you perform

  • Interactions with other users (e.g., profiles viewed, likes sent or received, messages exchanged, match activity)

  • Date and time of your logins and sessions

  • Pages shown to you, referring web pages, and advertising or marketing content you click on

Device Information

We collect information from and about the device(s) you use to access our Services, such as:

  • IP address, device ID, device type, and operating system

  • App version, browser type and language, time zone, screen resolution, and locale settings

  • Crash logs or error reports (for diagnostics)

  • Advertising identifiers such as Google’s AAID or Apple’s IDFA, which are unique but resettable

  • Identifiers associated with cookies or tracking technologies (e.g., IMEI, UDID, or MAC address)

  • Installed apps or app metadata, which may be used for fraud detection, content customization, or contextual suggestions (collected only where permitted by your device or platform)

Network and Sensor Data

We may collect additional data from your device’s connectivity and sensors, such as:

  • Your mobile network or Wi-Fi provider, including signal strength, SIM country, and network operator name

  • Sensor data such as from your accelerometer, gyroscope, or compass, which may be used to detect device orientation or prevent fraudulent activity

Location Information (with your consent)

If you permit location access, we may collect your precise geolocation (latitude and longitude) through GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or similar methods. This may happen in the background, even when the app isn’t in use, if your settings allow it.

If you decline permission, we will not collect location data.

Media Access (with your consent)

If you upload profile photos, videos, or use media-based features, we may collect the content you submit and request access to your camera, photo gallery, or video files. This access only occurs when you have granted explicit permission through your device settings.

Other Information (as permitted by law or user consent)

From time to time, we may introduce new features or tools that require additional information to function effectively. In such cases, we may collect other categories of personal or technical information, subject to applicable law and your consent where required.

COOKIES AND OTHER SIMILAR DATA COLLECTION TECHNOLOGIES

As an easy process to enhance your experience, Rebounce uses cookies and accepted tracking technologies to improve functionality, analyze usage patterns, and deliver personalized content and advertising. These technologies may also be used by our partners and service providers to assist us in delivering a secure and optimized platform.

We and our partners may use:

  • Cookies – small text files stored on your browser or device

  • Web beacons, pixels, and tracking scripts – to recognize you and/or your device(s) across sessions, platforms, or browsers

These tools help us:

  • Authenticate users and enable secure login

  • Remember your settings, preferences, and past actions

  • Understand usage patterns, traffic sources, and behavior analytics

  • Deliver, measure, and improve advertisements and promotional campaigns

  • Enable features such as social sharing or embedded content

On our mobile applications, we may use third-party software development kits (SDKs) to collect app usage and performance data. These SDKs function similarly to cookies in that they help us monitor activity, deliver notifications, detect crashes, and improve overall user experience.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our platform may be set by third-party services, such as analytics providers, advertisers, or social media platforms. These third-party cookies may be used to:

  • Track your behavior across different websites or apps

  • Serve interest-based or retargeted ads

  • Measure performance of ads or campaigns delivered through our platform

  • Help us build audience segments and improve targeting effectiveness on advertising platforms

We do not control how these third parties use their cookies, and their usage is subject to their own privacy policies.

Consent Banner

Where required by applicable law, Rebounce may display a cookie consent banner when you first access the website or app. This will allow you to accept, decline, or customize your cookie preferences before continuing to use our Services.

Do Not Track (DNT)

Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting that lets users signal their preference not to be tracked. Because there is currently no consistent standard for recognizing DNT signals, Rebounce does not currently respond to them. We may revisit this approach as standards evolve.

  • Public profile fields you complete

  • Your profile being shown as a match or search result

Rebounce is part of Verve Mobile Private Limited, which also operates other platforms. We may share information between these group products in the following ways:

  • To provide backend support (e.g., hosting, analytics, fraud prevention)

  • To improve overall service quality, detect duplicate or banned accounts, and maintain integrity across products

  • To offer cross-platform profile visibility, where your profile created on Rebounce may be shown on other group products, only with your knowledge and consent. If such a feature is introduced, you will be informed and given the choice to opt in or opt out at any time via your settings.

We also share information for corporate compliance, audit, or consolidated analytics purposes.

For Corporate Transactions

If Rebounce is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale, restructuring, or transfer of ownership, user information may be part of the transferred assets. We will notify you of any such changes where legally required.

Refer to our Cookie Policy for more details on how tracking technologies are used.

YOUR RIGHTS

We want you to have control over your information. Depending on applicable laws, you may have the right to access, update, correct, or delete your personal data. Here's how you can manage it:

  • In-App Tools: Use your account settings to update your profile, change permissions, or deactivate your account.

  • Permissions: Control access to device data (e.g., camera, location, notifications) through your phone settings.

  • Deactivation or Deletion: You may deactivate or delete your account through the app, or contact us to request suspension or deletion. Please note, deleting your profile does not automatically remove all data due to legal and operational requirements.

  • Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on your consent (e.g., for promotions, location, testimonials), you may withdraw it anytime via settings or by contacting us.

  • Uninstalling the App: This stops data collection but does not delete your account or erase stored information.

We may request identity verification before acting on certain requests. In some cases, we may retain data as required by law, for fraud prevention, or to enforce our Terms.

If you are a resident of the European Union, you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to:

  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of your CCPA rights

We do not currently sell personal data in the traditional sense, but we may share limited data (e.g., hashed identifiers) for advertising or analytics, which could be considered a “sale” under CCPA. You may contact us to exercise any of these rights.

DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

If you deactivate or delete your account, your profile is removed from public view. However, we may retain certain information for a limited period for purposes such as:

  • Legal or regulatory compliance

  • Fraud detection and prevention

  • Enforcing our Terms of Use

  • Handling disputes, abuse reports, or chargebacks

  • Preventing banned or unsafe users from creating new accounts

  • Maintaining transaction records for billing, audit, and refund processing

Some data may also remain in backup systems for a limited time. Where applicable, data will be securely deleted or anonymized once retention is no longer necessary.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

We work hard to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, like all technology platforms, we cannot guarantee that your data will always remain completely secure. You should not expect absolute security, and we cannot be held liable in the event of a system compromise, breach, or public disclosure resulting from unauthorized access (“hacking”).

To reduce such risks, we implement a combination of technical, physical, and organizational safeguards, including:

  • Regular system monitoring and vulnerability assessments

  • Controlled access to user information on a need-to-know basis

  • Routine checks of our data handling and storage practices

  • Security measures in accordance with industry practices

We may suspend or restrict your access to all or part of the services without prior notice if we detect or suspect any security threat or misuse of your account.

If you believe your account or data has been compromised, please notify us immediately via our contact page

As part of our commitment to security, we also operate a bug bounty program to encourage responsible disclosure of security vulnerabilities. If you’re a security researcher or have identified a potential flaw, you can contact us to learn more about participating in the program.

Our services are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly allow anyone under the age of 18 to use the platform, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.

If you believe a user is under the age of 18, please report the account using the in-app reporting tool or contact our support team. We will take appropriate steps to investigate and, if necessary, remove the account.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than India, including countries where our servers, cloud infrastructure, or service providers are located. These countries may have different data protection laws than India.

For example, we may store or process your data using third-party services such as cloud hosting, analytics, or customer support platforms that operate globally.

We ensure that any such transfers are made in accordance with applicable data protection laws and that your data remains protected through appropriate technical and contractual safeguards.

By using Rebounce, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your data outside of India, as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of the policy.
